3: Project descriptions: Q & A
Q1. What must we do in this project?
Answer: Firstly, you will have to write pinyin for all the characters and look up all the pinyin for the characters that you don’t know; secondly, you need to figure out the major ideas of that song; then you need to practice singing the song over and over until you are able to perform in front of the others.

Q2: Can we pick any song by ourselves?
Answer: No. You can choose any one of the six songs that I posted on the website (my resources/just for relaxing). The idea is that you learn to sing a song that you have never heard before.

Q3: I looked over all the lyrics, some look more difficult or complex than others. Will you give us the surplus if I choose to sing the difficult song?
Answer: Yes, I will reflect the difficulty coefficient in the rubrics for the writing part.

Q4: I am very shy to sing songs in front of others, can I work with others?
Answer: Yes, it will be your choice to either sing with your partner or sing by yourself.

Q5: Will my partner and I receive the same grades for our performance?
Answer: I am expecting to see the balance in your partnership. Theoretically, you and your partner will receive different grades according to your individual performance.

Q6: If I work with my partner, do we submit our writing paper together or separately?
Answer: You should submit your writing paper separately.

Q7: How important to add music background when I sing the song?
Answer: Kind important. You are encouraged to either play the instrument or download the music from the Internet.

Q8: Is there any chance for me to receive extra points? If so, how many points will you offer?
Answer: Yes, I am thinking that to have you play the secret judge. Each of you will pick one pair of performers; grade them individually according to the rubrics. If your scores are very close to mine, then you will receive the extra points ranging from 1 ~5.
